Meet the Heart of Puddles
We’re parents, teachers, and lifelong swimmers—here to help your child learn, laugh, and love the water.
With 17+ years leading aquatics programs and top GTA swim schools, Marina brings deep expertise, passion, and leadership to our community. A former competitive swimmer, she’s dedicated to creating safe, inspiring swim experiences for children and families.
Alexander has three years of teaching experience and has worked with swimmers of all abilities, including those with special needs.
Chloe has been teaching swim lessons for all ages and abilities for two and a half years. Her favourite part of lessons is playing jumping games.
Gulianna is a former competitive swimmer with Row Swim Club who’s been in the water since just 8 months old. She brings a bubbly, passionate energy to every lesson and loves connecting with swimmers of all ages. Fun fact: she’s fluent in Spanish and English, enjoys singing, arts and crafts (especially crochet!), spending time outdoors, and dreams of one day swimming in the Olympics.
Hi! My name is Kaity, and I've been teaching for about 5 years and absolutely love it! A fun fact about myself is that I was born on Easter Sunday in 2005, the best Easter gift my parents could've ever been given. Looking forward to meeting you all!
I have been teaching swimming for 1 year. Also, my favourite swim stroke is breast stroke.
Hi, I’m Klara! I enjoy creating a fun and supportive environment where swimmers can learn and improve. When I’m not at the pool, I enjoy playing volleyball and staying active.
I have been teaching and guarding for 4 years. I love being a hands-on instructor, building strong, one on one connections and adapting to different learning styles to be a better instructor. I love watching kids progress, and improve their swimming abilities. It is so special to be a Puddles instructor, and have the ability to teach such an important skill.
Mikayla brings high energy and positivity to every lesson, making swimming both safe and exciting as kids build lifelong water skills.
A sports enthusiast and former competitive swimmer, Neil loves making lessons fun, active, and confidence-boosting for every student.
Hi! My name is Nicole, I have been working with kids since 2016. I love being in the water and teaching children how to swim.
Nikol swam competitively for eight years and brings that experience to every lesson. Fun fact: she doesn’t know how to ride a bike!
Rachel has 7+ years of instructing experience teaching all ages from 3 months to 80+ year olds. You’re never too old to learn how to swim!
Sam has lifeguarded and taught swimming in Alberta. Known for his fun approach and love for the water, he can even backflip off a diving board!
Selema brings patience, energy, and enthusiasm to every lesson. She’s passionate about helping kids feel safe and confident as they learn to swim. When not in the water, she enjoys baking, playing volleyball, and singing.
Will has been lifeguarding since he was 15 and has a strong passion for teaching. He loves playing soccer and guitar and hopes to be a teacher in the future.
A Peek Inside Puddles
say hello to
puddles
The heart and soul of Puddles Swim School and your splashy swim buddy!
With his bright yellow feathers, curious eyes, and signature blue rainboots, Puddles is always ready to waddle into a new adventure — especially if there’s water to splash in!
Cuddly, cheerful, and full of charm, Puddles was hatched to help little swimmers feel right at home. He’s more than just our mascot — he’s a loyal friend who cheers kids on, shares giggles, and turns every swim lesson into playtime.
Whether he’s poolside for a high-five, showing off his ducky dance, or giving out the warmest (imaginary) hugs, Puddles is always there to remind little swimmers: you’re doing a great job, and swimming is so much fun!
Come splash with Puddles—he’s already saved you a spot!
The Story Behind The Smiles
According to Ontario Provincial Police, drownings in the province’s lakes and rivers have risen sharply—66 so far in 2025 compared to 33 at the same point in 2024. Many of these tragedies involved children and took place during family outings.
Swimming isn’t just a sport—it can save a life.
That’s why, at Puddles, we’re parents first—and we know just how important it is for every child to feel safe, confident, and capable in the water.
Founded in 2025 and rooted in Canadian values, Puddles Swim School blends safety, personalization, and joy in every lesson. Our distinctive approach—Puddles of Courage, Pools of Joy—celebrates swimming as an emotional journey as much as a physical one.
Puddles of Courage honors the early, bold steps children take as they begin to trust the water. Pools of Joy reflects the transformation that follows—confidence, freedom, and lifelong love for swimming. With warm saltwater, small class sizes, and intentional emotional support, we make learning feel like celebration.
The Heart Behind Every Splash
Everything we do starts with our goal: to make water a place of confidence, safety, and joy for every child.
Our Values
We’re guided by inclusivity, mindfulness, and empowerment. From the way we design our spaces to the way we teach, our values ensure that every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow at their own pace.
Our Vision
We imagine a future where water is a place of freedom—not fear. A space where every child has the access, confidence, and tools to enjoy swimming with curiosity, calm, and courage.
Our Mission
To offer high-quality, child-centered swim lessons that prioritize safety, build confidence, and make swimming a joyful, empowering experience. Every session is designed to support both children and their families with care, structure, and encouragement.
